Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑focused Financial Controller to join the finance team of a leading global real‑estate organisation in London on a permanent basis. The role offers high visibility across the group, combining financial control, statutory reporting, audit management and business partnering responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day financial control activities across a complex multi‑entity group structure.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Oversee statutory reporting and Companies House filings.
• Coordinate relationships with external auditors, including Deloitte, and support annual Group and Half‑Year audits.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements under IFRS.
• Maintain robust financial controls, governance and compliance processes.
• Partner with senior finance and operational stakeholders to provide insight and drive improvements.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives within reporting and control environments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow reporting as required.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CA qualification.
• Strong background in financial control and technical accounting.
• Proven experience managing statutory reporting and external audits.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS and group reporting.
• Experience in complex, multi‑entity organisations, preferably within real‑estate, property or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
