Financial Controller

About the role

The Method is a fast‑growing luxury wellness brand seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to own the finance function end‑to‑end. Reporting directly to the Founder and senior leadership, you will build the reporting infrastructure, financial models and controls needed for multi‑territory expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Own month‑end close and produce accurate management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cashflow) on tight deadlines.
• Develop and maintain financial models for scenario planning, new site appraisals and international expansion.
• Create KPI dashboards covering revenue, membership, class utilisation, retention, payroll and profitability.
• Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and variance analysis, flagging risks and opportunities.
• Analyse revenue streams (membership, class, treatment, retail) to identify margin improvement.
• Manage end‑to‑end UK payroll, including compliance (P11D, PSA, auto‑enrolment).
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and CT61, support year‑end accounts and statutory filings.
• Liaise with external advisers on UK and French tax matters as the group expands.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with experience in a fast‑moving, multi‑site business.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and comfortable rolling up sleeves to own the numbers.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into clear commercial insight.
