Financial Controller – SaaS & Private Equity

About the role

The company is a high‑growth, private‑equity backed SaaS business with £30m ARR and a clear exit plan within two years. It is looking for a senior Financial Controller to join the leadership team and help professionalise the finance function while supporting strategic value‑creation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial accounting activities across the Group, including month‑end, year‑end and statutory reporting.
• Manage the external audit process and maintain relationships with auditors and other stakeholders.
• Develop and enhance financial controls, governance and compliance frameworks.
• Drive optimisation and automation of NetSuite and other finance systems.
• Ensure clean, reliable and actionable financial data for the organisation.
• Partner with senior business leaders to provide insight for strategic decision‑making.
• Produce high‑quality reporting for the Board, Executive Team and private‑equity investors.
• Support the Group CFO and investment team with the broader value‑creation plan and exit preparation.
• Collaborate with the FP&A function to deliver a unified finance business‑partnering approach.

Required profile

• Significant experience in financial accounting and reporting within a fast‑growing, international SaaS or technology environment.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams and managing external audits.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance.
• Experience working with private‑equity investors and supporting value‑creation initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
