Financial Controller/Manager – Manufacturing (London)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller/Manager to join a well‑established, family‑run manufacturing business that produces high‑end taps, sinks and showers. Based in Wood Green, North London, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the finance function across both UK and US operations.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile UK and US bank accounts and sales ledgers, including foreign‑exchange conversions.
• Maintain purchase ledger, raise purchase orders and process supplier payments.
• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
• Process monthly payroll journals and reconcile payroll records.
• Organise annual stock‑take and valuation for year‑end accounts.
• Set annual budgets, produce forecasts and conduct monthly variance analysis for directors.
• Assist directors in improving financial systems and controls.
• Liaise with external accountants for annual accounts filing with HMRC and Companies House.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UK, preferably within manufacturing.
• AAT qualification (or equivalent) and QBE knowledge.
• Live within a commutable distance to North London.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational abilities.

• Salary between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum.
