Financial Reporting Analyst

About the role

British Airways is looking for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join its Finance and Transformation team. You will play a central part in consolidating group financials, preparing statutory accounts and supporting the annual report, ensuring that the airline’s performance is communicated clearly and accurately to senior leadership, the Board and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support group consolidation and produce Financial Statements in line with IFRS and the Companies Act.
• Contribute to IAG’s quarterly and annual reporting cycles, delivering accurate BA inputs on time.
• Take ownership of sections of the Annual Report & Accounts, gathering inputs and ensuring consistency.
• Prepare statutory accounts for BA subsidiaries and manage required disclosures and surveys.
• Collaborate with auditors, IAG Finance and internal teams to explain figures and address queries.
• Maintain strong financial controls and update processes as requirements evolve.
• Participate in SAP and reporting tool enhancements and system changes.
• Support senior stakeholder briefings, including materials for the CFO and Board.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Experience in audit or financial reporting within a large, complex organisation.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with good judgement and the ability to communicate financial information clearly.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships across finance, IAG and external auditors.
