About the role
You will deliver a high‑quality fire risk assessment service for residential and care properties, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation and Riverside’s internal procedures. The role involves conducting site surveys, following up on findings, and contributing to the strategic direction of the fire risk assessment programme.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out fire risk assessments in low to moderate risk residential buildings.
- Perform site visits, including accessing loft spaces using ladders.
- Ensure assessments meet BS9792:2025, PAS 79‑1 and current fire safety legislation.
- Lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the fire risk assessment programme.
- Maintain the quality of assessment reports and keep up to date with legislative changes.
Required profile
- Minimum 12 months experience as a fire risk assessor for residential housing or care schemes.
- Completed at least 20 fire risk assessments in low to moderate risk buildings.
- Ability to conduct physical inspections and access confined spaces safely.
- Strong understanding of risk mitigation and its practical application.
