Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

Motel One is looking for a Food and Beverage Manager in London to oversee the daily operations of its restaurant and ensure a seamless guest experience. The role covers service standards, staff supervision, revenue-driving sales strategies and operational efficiency, including scheduling, inventory control, cost management and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality service with attention to detail, exceeding guest expectations, and resolve guest concerns immediately
• Complete opening, mid-day and closing procedures correctly, review daily operational requirements and update the food and beverage menu regularly
• Prepare weekly staff schedules and monthly attendance reports, run daily briefings and team meetings, and coach team members with performance reviews and development plans
• Manage operational budgets, control inventory, minimise costs, analyse financial reports and oversee purchasing and receiving against approved supplier lists
• Plan promotions, generate ideas and help implement initiatives that drive revenue and guest engagement
• Recruit, train and lead the restaurant team, and support the Hotel Manager with strategic business and marketing plans
• Follow the company's brand image, code of conduct and internal policies, and act decisively in emergencies

Required profile

• Previous experience in a busy hotel environment is a must
• A very hands-on approach to delivering the Urban Breakfast concept, bar operation and light food menu
