Freight Forwarder Intern

About the role

Transportify is a fast-growing international freight forwarder moving freight across Europe every day, combining data, technology and a passionate team to deliver reliable logistics. As a Freight Forwarder Intern in Uxbridge, London, you will help coordinate shipments, manage bookings, communicate with hauliers and customers and support the team from collection to delivery. The internship lasts 6 months, with potential for a full-time role.

Key responsibilities

• Support the freight forwarding team in daily operations across Europe
• Coordinate shipments, update delivery schedules and track freight in real time
• Communicate with hauliers, suppliers and customers to ensure service excellence
• Help prepare transport documents, CMRs and customs paperwork
• Assist with rate quotations, invoicing and booking confirmation
• Learn to use TMS (transport management systems) and digital tracking tools
• Support reporting and process-improvement work, and share ideas to improve customer experience and efficiency

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or International Trade
• Excellent written and spoken English; other European languages are a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Curious, eager to learn how goods move, connect and improve
• Confident communicator, comfortable speaking to hauliers and customers

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
• Willingness to learn new tools
