French‑Speaking M&A Origination Professional – London

About the role

We are working with a leading international investment bank to hire a French‑speaking origination professional for its expanding London team. You will be responsible for growing the firm’s presence in France by identifying attractive opportunities, building relationships with senior decision‑makers, and translating market intelligence into actionable deals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research promising businesses and potential M&A opportunities across the French market.
• Develop and maintain relationships with founders, owners, management teams, investors and advisers.
• Conduct proactive outreach and initiate conversations with senior stakeholders.
• Represent the firm at conferences and industry events in France and across Europe.
• Gather and share market intelligence and insights with the broader team.

Required profile

• Fluent French with a strong understanding of French business culture.
• Approximately four or more years of experience in origination, business development, investment banking, private equity, venture capital or strategy consulting.
• Proven ability to engage senior decision‑makers and generate new opportunities.
• Strong research, analytical and commercial judgement.
• Self‑motivated, resilient and comfortable working in a relationship‑driven environment.
