General Manager - Pub & Grill, Musselburgh

About the role

Pub & Grill, part of Greene King, is recruiting a General Manager for its Cuddie Brae pub in Musselburgh. The post is full time, permanent and paid a salary of £44,000 to £48,000 plus bonus, with 45 scheduled weekly hours. The General Manager leads by example, builds a business to be proud of, develops their team and welcomes customers.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the business development manager and management team to grow pub sales.
• Lead by example and bring the brand to life through the team, delivering great experiences for customers.
• Recruit and develop the team so they have the knowledge to delight customers.
• Champion brand standards and ensure customer and team safety at all times.

Required profile

• Previous success at General Manager level is desirable, from hospitality, retail or another fast-paced background.
• A personal licence is required, or the ability to acquire one.
• Sufficient spoken and written English to perform the role safely and understand allergen controls.

Required skills

• Very high standards and attention to detail in the day-to-day running of the pub.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Business savviness and a keen eye for P&L control.
