Global Customer Technology Director

About the role

The Global Customer Technology Director (GCTD) is a senior technology strategy leader at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) based in London. The role drives customer transformation across AI, cloud and data platforms, shapes LSEG's position as a trusted innovation partner and influences internal product and proposition strategy through customer and industry insights. It combines deep subject-matter expertise with commercial and strategic leadership, engaging CTOs, CIOs, CDOs and Heads of Innovation and Data.

Key responsibilities

• Build advisory-level relationships with senior technology executives and act as an industry thought leader at conferences, panels and forums
• Partner with CSPs and other partners on joint customer engagements, platform integrations and innovation initiatives
• Shape opportunities such as AI, cloud migration, data platform modernisation and workflow digitisation, and support account plans and revenue growth
• Facilitate use-case development, proofs of concept and solution patterns
• Provide structured customer insights to Product, Technology, Proposition and Strategy teams, and collaborate with Account Managers, GSRDs/GBDs, Professional Services and Partners
• Lead a practice area (e.g. AI, cloud, data, trading tech) and share competitive intelligence and market insights

Required profile

• 12-15+ years in senior technology, architecture or transformation roles in financial markets, data, analytics or cloud technology
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong ability to influence senior executives and navigate complex matrix environments
• Desirable: experience with EMEA financial institutions, hyperscaler partnerships (e.g. Microsoft, AWS), and conference presentations
