Global Head of Accounts Payable Transformation

About the role

This senior position will lead the design and build of a global Accounts Payable (AP) function for a recognised multinational brand. Reporting to the Director of Financial Control & Reporting, you will sit at the heart of fast‑moving finance projects that shape the company’s future.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a scalable, standardized global AP operating model that balances consistency with local flexibility.
• Lead end‑to‑end AP transformation, simplifying regional variations, embedding robust controls and ensuring compliance with internal policies, audit standards and local regulations.
• Partner with Technology to define the AP roadmap, drive automation and improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee the transition to the new model, ensuring business continuity and effective change management.
• Build and nurture a high‑performing global AP team, establishing performance frameworks and a culture of accountability.

Required profile

• A qualified accountant (or equivalent experience) with extensive experience leading AP or finance operations in complex, global organisations.
• Proven track record in AP transformation, shared‑services design, and managing multi‑country, multi‑entity AP operations.
• Strong knowledge of AP financial controls, governance, audit, compliance, fraud prevention and automation technologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and change‑management abilities, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• People‑focused leadership style with a history of developing high‑performing teams.
