Groundworker – Housing Site (Biggleswade)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced groundworker to join a busy housing development in Biggleswade. The role starts on 7 July and is expected to run for 5‑6 weeks, with the possibility of extension. The position is paid at £23 per hour on a CIS basis.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out finishing works on a high‑pace housing site.
• Use and maintain basic groundworker tools and equipment.
• Work daily from 07:30 to 16:30, completing a 9‑hour shift (45 hours per week).
• Adhere to health and safety standards, wearing required PPE.
• Collaborate with site teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Required profile

• Valid CSCS or CPCS card.
• Experience in housing construction and finishing works.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Willingness to work the full 45‑hour week.

Required skills

• CSCS certification (or CPCS).
• Proficiency with basic groundworker tools.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
