Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a technically brilliant Group Financial Controller to support the next stage of growth for a fast‑growing international broadcasting business. You will lead a team of nine, own the group reporting process and work closely with the Group Finance Director to ensure a robust, scalable finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Own the group month‑end and year‑end close process.
• Lead consolidations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts.
• Manage the year‑end audit and liaise with external advisors.
• Strengthen financial controls and improve the overall control environment.
• Drive improvements across finance systems, reporting and processes.
• Support cash‑flow management and wider treasury activities.
• Lead, develop and mentor a team of nine finance professionals.
• Partner with business stakeholders to improve the quality and timeliness of financial information.

Required profile

• A genuine passion for accounting and detail‑oriented work.
• Technically excellent yet pragmatic, with a hands‑on attitude.
• Strong leadership skills and a track record of developing people.
• Experience operating in a multi‑entity, international environment.
• Current or recent role as Group Financial Controller, Head of Financial Control, Group Reporting Manager, Senior Financial Controller or Head of Group Accounting.

Required skills

• ACA qualification or equivalent.
• Expertise in financial consolidation, statutory reporting and audit management.
• Strong systems skills and a passion for process improvement.
• Experience managing and developing finance teams.
• Cash‑flow management and treasury operations knowledge.
