Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead accounting, reporting and financial control across our corporate group entities. Based in London and reporting to the Director of Finance, you will act as the central liaison for the finance function and manage key external relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead consolidated group management, statutory and regulatory reporting, including FCA filings.
• Drive automation and continuous process improvements to scale the finance function.
• Own the annual budgeting and quarterly re‑forecasting cycles, delivering management information packs for executive review.
• Champion the adoption of AI and automated tools within finance workflows, such as VAT reviews and payment processing.
• Oversee UK tax compliance, quarterly VAT returns, corporate tax preparation and basic FATCA/CRS requirements.
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors across corporate and overseas subsidiaries.
• Mentor a junior team member and embed high‑quality accounting habits and operational discipline.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
• Approximately 5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in a mid‑tier practice with diverse client exposure.
• Proven experience within the Financial Services sector.
• Hands‑on experience with LLP accounting, multi‑jurisdiction consolidation and regulatory reporting.
• Commercially minded, self‑motivated and able to drive initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
