Group HR Business Partner – West Cornwall (Hybrid)

About the role

The Group HR Business Partner will join a fast‑growing Cornish business with over 350 employees across multiple sites. Reporting to senior leadership, you will shape and deliver the Group people agenda while maintaining a visible, hands‑on presence throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the existing HR team.
• Partner with Directors and senior leaders to design and implement the Group HR strategy.
• Provide expert advice on employee relations, employment law, workforce planning and HR best practice.
• Manage complex disciplinary, grievance and investigation processes.
• Develop and maintain HR policies in line with UK legislation.
• Oversee recruitment, talent attraction, onboarding and retention initiatives.
• Support learning and development, performance management and career progression.
• Review and enhance remuneration, benefits and employee engagement programmes.
• Ensure HR systems, employee data and GDPR compliance are robust.
• Champion equality, diversity, inclusion and a positive workplace culture.
• Travel between sites to provide a visible HR presence as required.

Required profile

• Proven senior HR generalist experience with a strong background in UK employment law.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an HR team.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, comfortable influencing at Board level.
• Hands‑on experience in employee relations, disciplinary and grievance handling.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment.
