Group Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Group Reporting Accountant to lead the monthly close and consolidation process for a growing organisation based in Weybridge. The successful candidate will own end‑to‑end group reporting, support finance transformation initiatives and develop towards a future Finance Director role.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly financial close across four legal entities.
• Receive trial balance data from local finance teams, complete month‑end close, consolidations and reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely management and financial reports for the group.
• Lead and support finance transformation projects, including AI and system implementations.
• Collaborate with external auditors to deliver efficient audits and identify process improvements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider organisation.
• Provide leadership and guidance to six colleagues through indirect management.
• Develop towards a future Finance Director position as the business expands.

Required profile

• ACA qualified (or equivalent).
• Strong technical accounting expertise with experience in complex consolidations and group reporting.
• Highly systems‑oriented and technology‑savvy.
• Hands‑on approach with ability to own projects from conception to implementation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
