Head of Finance – £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits

About the role

The client is a large multi‑site group seeking a Head of Finance for one of its core manufacturing divisions. This senior commercial finance position offers direct influence over strategic and operational decisions and works closely with the Divisional Managing Director and General Managers.

Key responsibilities

• Review sales forecasts in partnership with the Commercial Director.
• Analyse sales activity to forecast labour and resourcing requirements.
• Lead forecasting and budgeting for the division.
• Review and interpret P&L statements, presenting monthly performance to senior leadership.
• Partner with General Managers and cost‑centre managers to identify efficiencies and maintain forecast accuracy.
• Own capital‑expenditure appraisal and ensure ROI optimisation.
• Deliver analysis linking financial performance to business strategy.
• Act as a trusted commercial advisor to site leadership, influencing decisions beyond finance.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
• Proven experience partnering with operations in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of stock and inventory management.
• Ability to operate at senior leadership level and communicate with operational staff.
