Head of Financial Infrastructure Partnerships & Expansion

About the role

We are seeking a highly driven Head of Financial Infrastructure Expansion to develop strategic solutions for banks, financial institutions, fintechs, payment companies, telcos, and large enterprises worldwide. This hands‑on role combines deep financial knowledge with strong commercial capabilities to design and deliver multi‑product financial infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify strategic opportunities with banks, fintechs, payment companies, telcos, retailers and large enterprises globally.
• Design tailored solutions leveraging stablecoins, wallets, tokenisation, payments and other Tether products.
• Originate, structure, negotiate and close high‑value strategic partnerships.
• Act as bridge between customers, external implementation partners and Tether’s internal product and business teams.
• Own strategic projects from engagement through execution and scale, monitoring post‑implementation KPIs.
• Define priority markets, build and manage a global pipeline, and lead the Financial Infrastructure Expansion team.
• Represent Tether in strategic meetings with enterprises, financial institutions, governments and regulators.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in banking, payments, fintech, financial infrastructure or technology business development.
• Proven track record of originating, structuring and closing large strategic partnerships.
• Strong relationships with senior decision‑makers in banks, fintechs, telcos and large enterprises.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building and managing high‑performing teams.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of payments, digital assets, wallets, tokenisation and settlement.
• Ability to translate complex customer needs into multi‑product solutions.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Capability to work across product, technical, commercial, legal and regulatory teams.
