Head of Marketing

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing private‑equity backed manufacturing group in the aerospace and defence sectors, is seeking its first Head of Marketing. Reporting to the leadership team, you will design and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy, build a strong brand identity and drive business growth across a portfolio of precision‑engineered components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the overall marketing and brand strategy.
• Build a clear, consistent brand as the business expands through acquisitions.
• Plan and execute marketing campaigns that generate new business opportunities.
• Produce market and competitor insights to support commercial decision‑making.
• Create engaging technical content such as articles, case studies, white papers and digital assets.
• Support Business Development with presentations, bid documents and collateral for major sales opportunities.
• Manage the company’s presence at industry exhibitions, conferences and events.
• Oversee PR activity and corporate communications, including growth‑related announcements.
• Manage relationships with external marketing, PR, creative and digital agencies.
• Monitor marketing performance and use data to improve future activity.

Required profile

• Strong background in B2B marketing within a technical, engineering or highly regulated industry.
• Proven experience developing and implementing successful brand and marketing strategies.
• Ability to explain complex technical products and services clearly and engagingly.
• Experience delivering digital marketing campaigns, PR and industry events.
• Track record of generating leads and supporting business growth through marketing.
• Experience working with CRM systems and marketing analytics.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, manufacturing or a private‑equity backed business is a plus.
