Head of Strategy and Transformation

About the role

YouLend’s Operations function is undergoing a major transformation over the next 2‑3 years. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Head of Strategy & Transformation will own the strategic roadmap, govern cross‑functional change initiatives and act as the bridge between frontline operational needs and Technology/Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously evolve YouLend’s 2‑3‑year Operations Target Operating Model, including diagnostics, design and delivery roadmap.
• Govern the cross‑functional change portfolio – prioritisation, business case standards, stage‑gating and benefits tracking for technology‑dependent initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering/Technology to translate frontline pain points into clear, prioritised requirements and user stories, jointly managing the backlog.
• Lead the innovation pipeline for Operations, identifying and piloting automation opportunities such as chat‑bots and workflow automation.
• Own change adoption for major initiatives, including stakeholder communication, training and embedding.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading strategy, transformation or programme management within an operations environment, preferably in fintech or a regulated high‑growth business.
• Strong track record of translating business requirements into technology‑delivered outcomes and working closely with engineering/product teams.
• Demonstrated leadership of direct reports and cross‑functional teams, with excellent stakeholder management at senior level.
• Analytical and problem‑structuring skills, using operational performance data to inform prioritisation.
• Experience designing target operating models covering organisation, process and technology.
