Head of Trade Finance Sales - Middle East Trade Corridors

About the role

The Director, Head of Trade Finance Sales will lead the bank’s trade finance franchise in London, focusing on the Middle East trade corridors. Reporting to the Head of Corporate & Institutional Banking, you will originate, develop and execute trade finance solutions for corporate and financial institution clients across the UK, Europe and the GCC.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and originate new trade finance and structured trade opportunities for corporate and FI clients.
• Develop and nurture relationships with commodity traders, manufacturers, EPC contractors, oil & gas firms, and large corporates active in Middle East corridors.
• Deliver a suite of solutions including receivables finance, borrowing‑base lending, inventory finance, supply‑chain finance and pre‑/post‑export finance.
• Drive product development initiatives and uncover new revenue streams.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Compliance and Operations throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Lead, coach and grow a small team of trade finance professionals.

Required profile

• Proven senior experience in trade finance sales or related corporate banking roles.
• Strong knowledge of Middle East trade corridors and the associated client base.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage complex, structured transactions.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with both corporate and financial institution clients.

Required skills

• Trade finance products (receivables finance, structured trade, supply‑chain finance, export finance).
• Understanding of credit, risk and compliance considerations in trade transactions.
