Health Visitor – Children and Families (Part‑time)

About the role

The Health Visitor will join the Children and Families Health Visiting team at Pollokshaws Health Centre, delivering evidence‑based, needs‑led care to children and young people. This part‑time permanent position supports the Getting It Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) agenda and works closely with health and partner agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated caseload, providing high‑quality health visiting services to children and families.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to coordinate care.
• Conduct assessments, deliver health promotion, and support early intervention.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development and evaluation.

Required profile

• Registered Health Visitor or Registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• IT proficiency – word processing, email, internet use.
