Hire Projects Controller

About the role

The Hire Projects Controller will oversee the full lifecycle of equipment hire projects, from order confirmation to final delivery, ensuring customers receive a seamless service. Working within a fast‑paced engineering environment, you will collaborate closely with sales, engineering, suppliers and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hire projects from order to completion, meeting deadlines and customer expectations.
• Procure equipment, materials and subcontractor services required for each project.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Coordinate activities with service engineers, technicians and sales teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Provide regular progress updates to customers and manage expectations.
• Schedule equipment, resources and subcontractors to meet timelines and budgets.
• Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance to maximise profitability.
• Communicate technical project information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain accurate project documentation.

Required profile

• Experience in project coordination, project administration, hire desk or service coordination within engineering, HVAC, manufacturing or technical services.
• Strong organisational and commercial mindset.
• Ability to build and sustain relationships with multiple stakeholders.
