Housing Officer – Bath

About the role

As a Housing Officer with Curo, you will be the first point of contact for residents in a vibrant community of 450‑650 households. You will manage your own caseload, plan your week independently and help ensure tenancies run smoothly while fostering a sense of belonging.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary relationship manager for your patch, building trust and resolving issues.
• Conduct tenancy audits, sign‑ups, viewings, mutual exchanges and fixed‑term renewals.
• Identify and address tenancy breaches early, balancing accountability with tenancy sustainability.
• Perform regular estate inspections, monitor standards and hold contractors to account.
• Spot safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals in partnership with statutory agencies.
• Lead resident engagement and community‑development activities.
• Handle cases of harassment, hate incidents or tenancy fraud with specialist support.
• Signpost customers to external services for money, employment, training and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Confident housing professional who enjoys community‑focused work.
• Ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining relationships.
• Experience in housing management, social housing or a comparable customer‑facing role.
• Working knowledge of housing law and good practice, including tenancy breaches.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
