About the role
The part‑time HR Adviser (People & Culture) will be based at XLCR in Colne, supporting operational HR across the Global Vehicle Group. Working three days a week, the role combines day‑to‑day HR support with delivery of a group‑wide standardisation programme.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for the region, handling queries and providing practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Advise managers on performance management, absence, disciplinary, grievance, onboarding, reward, wellbeing and employee engagement.
- Deliver training and guidance on the Group Employee Handbook.
- Support recruitment activities, including offers, onboarding processes and background checks.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK employment law and apply it to policies and procedures.
- Assist with implementation and optimisation of HRIS systems to ensure efficient processes and accurate data.
- Drive CSR and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide payroll administration support and manage HR data reporting.
- Collaborate with People & Culture colleagues across the group to promote standardisation.
- Support change projects such as restructures, consultations and TUPE processes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in an HR role, preferably within a similar industry.
- Demonstrated ability to modernise People & Culture processes and policies in growing organisations.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience handling employee‑relations cases.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with other regions.
- Confident communicator capable of influencing senior leaders.
- Pragmatic, hands‑on approach with the capacity to manage multiple operational activities.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification preferred.
Required skills
- Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS).
- Advanced PC skills.
