HR Generalist – Employee Relations (Hybrid, 12‑month contract)

About the role

Pure Resourcing Solutions is seeking an experienced HR Generalist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join a purpose‑driven organisation on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role is hybrid, based in North Essex, and will involve managing complex ER cases while supporting managers and stabilising HR operations in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high volume of complex ER cases, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, and capability matters.
• Provide clear, pragmatic, and legally sound guidance to managers and ensure timely case progression with robust documentation.
• Coach and support managers in handling people issues, performance, conduct, and wellbeing.
• Deliver case debriefs and knowledge‑sharing to upskill leadership teams.
• Provide accurate advice on HR policies, support and enhance HR procedures, templates and toolkits.
• Identify trends, introduce structure and consistency across ER and HR processes, and contribute to a data‑led, insight‑driven HR function.
• Line‑manage junior HR team members and promote a collaborative, high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Strong HR generalist background with significant ER case‑management experience.
• Proven ability to handle complex, high‑volume workloads in a fast‑changing environment.
• Experience coaching and developing managers.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Sound knowledge of UK employment law and strong influencing and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and commercial awareness.
