HR Lead (Maternity Cover) – People Operations

About the role

Cronofy is seeking an experienced HR professional to provide maternity‑cover leadership for its People function. You will work closely with the COO and a small, high‑performing People team to ensure smooth HR operations across the UK, the Netherlands and Employer‑of‑Record arrangements. This temporary role offers the chance to own the full HR remit and shape the function in a fast‑growing tech company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle, including onboarding and off‑boarding in the UK, the Netherlands and EOR contexts.
• Serve as primary HR point of contact for line managers, delivering day‑to‑day guidance and support.
• Own and maintain the HR information system (HRIS), ensuring accurate employee records.
• Handle the HR inbox, triaging and responding to queries promptly.
• Provide administrative support throughout recruitment processes.
• Review, update and ensure compliance of HR policies, acting as liaison with external HR and legal advisors.
• Coordinate annual renewal of employee benefits and relevant insurance policies.
• Support diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and oversee health‑and‑safety compliance across three office locations.

Required profile

• Highly organised and detail‑oriented HR professional with generalist experience.
• Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions and managing EOR arrangements.
• Strong communication skills and ability to support line managers and employees.
