HR Operations Specialist – Hybrid (3-4 month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Operations Specialist to join a well‑established organisation on a 3‑4 month fixed‑term contract. Working within a collaborative People team, you will support the full employee lifecycle and help deliver a seamless, high‑quality HR service in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HR administration across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit.
• Coordinate new starter and leaver processes to ensure a positive employee experience.
• Process contractual changes and maintain accurate employee records in the HR system.
• Support payroll activities, including pensions and benefits administration.
• Respond to HR queries from employees and managers, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
• Produce HR reports and data to aid business decision‑making and ensure data accuracy.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain compliance and data integrity.
• Administer absence management and ensure consistent processes.
• Liaise with external suppliers and process invoices as required.
• Contribute to HR projects and identify opportunities for process improvement.

Required profile

• Previous experience in People Operations, HR Administration or HR Shared Services.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.
• Experience supporting payroll, benefits or pensions administration.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with HR systems and employee data.
• Customer‑focused approach with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise a varied workload and work accurately under pressure.
• Proactive mindset with a genuine interest in improving processes.
