HR People Manager – Field-Based for Zara Home & Oysho

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR People Manager to support Zara Home and Oysho stores across the UK and Ireland. This field‑based role works directly with store and regional teams to ensure the people strategy is applied on the shop floor, balancing commercial priorities with employee needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage hours budgets and rota strategies across the region to ensure appropriate store coverage.
• Partner with the Brand Director and regional teams to align people planning with business needs.
• Review people and productivity data and translate insights into practical actions.
• Lead Employee Relations cases, providing clear, fair and legally compliant guidance.
• Ensure Health & Safety and wellbeing standards are consistently delivered in stores.
• Improve the onboarding experience so new starters feel prepared and supported.
• Drive recruitment activity focusing on quality, speed and fit for retail roles.
• Implement actions to reduce turnover and absence with realistic solutions.
• Support store teams with engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops for managers.
• Build succession plans and develop talent across the region.
• Ensure fair and consistent pay practices within company guidelines.
• Promote Diversity & Inclusion practices in a practical, store‑focused way.
• Develop and support In‑Store HR Advisors.

Required profile

• Solid HR operational experience, preferably in retail or a multi‑site environment.
• Proven ability to manage Employee Relations cases and employment law matters.
• Experience with payroll, HR systems and administrative processes.
• Strong people‑management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Commercial awareness of how people decisions impact store performance.
• Willingness to travel regularly across stores.
• Desirable: CIPD qualification; IOSH or Health & Safety knowledge.
