Income Officer – Customer Accounts (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an Income Officer to join our Customer Accounts team in the South East. This permanent part‑time position involves managing rent and service charge collections, supporting customers with welfare advice, and handling court‑related processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive rent and service charge collection service across the region.
• Monitor customer accounts for all tenures and manage end‑to‑end income processes.
• Negotiate payment arrangements and provide welfare benefit and money advice.
• Prepare and submit applications for court and attend hearings when required.
• Visit customers in their homes and liaise with external agencies, including local authorities.
• Manage evictions and related documentation.

Required profile

• Knowledge and experience of social housing, home ownership or the private rented sector.
• Working knowledge of welfare benefits.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Self‑starter with a proactive approach and ability to work independently.
• Strong decision‑making, diplomatic and confidential handling of information.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
