Income Officer – Hybrid (Warrington)

About the role

This hybrid Income Officer position supports a social housing organisation in Warrington, offering three days of remote work and two days in the office each week. You will manage rent arrears, carry out pre‑court actions and help tenants negotiate repayment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of rent accounts in arrears and recover income effectively.
• Issue pre‑court letters (Letter 1 and Letter 2) and draft legal notices in line with policy.
• Maintain regular contact with tenants via phone and email to negotiate repayment plans.
• Monitor and review accounts, taking appropriate action to reduce arrears.
• Accurately update housing management systems and keep detailed records.
• Work proactively to prevent escalation of arrears cases.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Income Officer within social housing.
• Strong knowledge of rent arrears recovery processes and pre‑court procedures.
• Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
