Interim Financial Accountant (6-month contract)

About the role

We are partnering with a fast-growing technology platform that is entering a new phase of expansion. The business seeks an Interim Financial Accountant on a six-month fixed-term contract to reinforce the finance team, ensure robust controls and support a major confidential milestone expected within the next 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and statutory reports.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including balance-sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate external audit requirements.
• Maintain compliance with UK GAAP and internal control frameworks.
• Assist with cash-flow reporting, forecasting and financial modelling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to improve financial processes and reporting.
• Contribute to finance projects linked to business growth and the upcoming corporate milestone.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or equivalent).
• Proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar technical accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP; exposure to IFRS is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate month-end, statutory reporting and reconciliations.
• Experience within a high-growth technology, SaaS or digital business is highly desirable.
