About the role
We are seeking an interim VAT Accountant to join the tax team of a well‑known consumer brand. The role offers an immediate start in central London, with a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote, and the potential to become permanent. You will own indirect tax compliance, advisory work and risk management for VAT.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and submit UK VAT returns and support international indirect tax reporting and compliance obligations.
- Support compliance with Making Tax Digital requirements.
- Review new business initiatives, contracts and projects to identify VAT implications.
- Assist with responses to HMRC enquiries, VAT audits and compliance reviews.
Required profile
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing UK VAT returns.
- Knowledge of UK VAT compliance and indirect tax.
- Ability to start immediately (ASAP).
