About the role
We are seeking a Junior Internal Auditor to join the Office of General Counsel at Ashurst. Based in the UK (London or Glasgow) you will support the delivery of the firm’s three‑year internal audit programme, working with both internal teams and external co‑sourced providers.
Key responsibilities
- Execute audits covering ISO controls, regulatory and risk‑focused areas, and client contractual commitments.
- Coordinate audit scopes with stakeholders across the firm’s offices.
- Prepare audit reports and present findings to the Risk Committee.
- Assist the Internal Audit Manager with ISO‑related audits to maintain certifications.
- Develop strong working relationships with partners, lawyers and support staff.
Required profile
- Part‑qualified or newly qualified auditor (e.g., working towards CIA or equivalent).
- Minimum 1 year experience in audit or assurance, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
- Willingness to learn and apply ISO 9001, ISO 22301 and ISO 27001 standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a high‑volume, varied workload in a fast‑paced, international organisation.
Required skills
