Junior/Assistant Estimator – HVAC & Construction

About the role

We are seeking a Junior/Assistant Estimator to join our pre‑construction team in Bermondsey. You will support the estimation of ductwork, ventilation and air‑side package projects for major commercial developments, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing specialist contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing accurate estimates for ductwork, ventilation and air‑side packages.
• Support pre‑construction and PCSA stage estimating activities.
• Ensure all documentation complies with company standards.
• Help with feasibility assessments and attend site visits as required.
• Carry out take‑offs and measurements from technical drawings (with guidance).
• Review drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope.
• Liaise with clients and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes and understand value‑engineering options.
• Support tender preparation, including pricing schedules and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Positive attitude to learning with a background in the construction industry.
• Experience or interest in ductwork, air‑conditioning or HVAC is preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (training provided).
• Good IT proficiency, especially Microsoft Office.
• Highly organised with clear written and verbal communication skills.
