Key Stage 2 Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Waltham Forest

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a supportive primary school in Waltham Forest, London. The role starts in September 2026 and offers a long‑term induction contract, with the intention of a permanent position from August 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Key Stage 2 lessons for Year 3‑6.
• Create a positive classroom environment that supports and challenges all pupils.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues and year‑group partners.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community.
• Participate in a structured ECT induction programme with dedicated mentoring.

Required profile

• Currently completing or recently completed a PGCE with QTS.
• Passionate about teaching in Key Stage 2 and eager to begin an ECT induction.
• Demonstrates strong classroom practice and solid subject knowledge.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to motivate pupils.
• Committed to high‑quality education and active school community involvement.
