Lead Project Manager – New Model Launch & Special Projects (6‑Month FTC)

About the role

Lead the New Model Launch (NML) and special projects function within Lotus UK Manufacturing’s PMO, delivering a 6‑month fixed‑term programme that ensures successful vehicle launches at the Hethel plant.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the launch project ethos, deliverables and governance structures.
• Create and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, action items and tracking mechanisms.
• Coordinate day‑to‑day operational activities and assign responsibilities to meet launch objectives.
• Monitor progress, report status, and implement mitigation actions for risks and issues.
• Maintain comprehensive, auditable project documentation and ensure milestone compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments, track controls and report on risk mitigation.
• Provide performance reporting to senior leadership and challenge assumptions when necessary.
• Lead build‑phase activities on the shop floor, ensuring KPI robustness with stakeholders.
• Track financial metrics, monitor budget status and present financial updates at project reviews.
• Identify, resolve and, when required, escalate issues throughout the programme lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven track record delivering complex projects, preferably across multiple sectors.
• Experience in manufacturing or automotive project environments with vertical reporting integration.
• Hands‑on problem‑solver capable of driving mindset change within a new team function.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to lead from the front.
• Excellent analytical and decision‑making skills under pressure.
