About the role
The Learning & Development Officer will support staff, volunteers and Trustees in building the skills, confidence and knowledge required to deliver safe, effective and person‑centred care. This hands‑on role involves designing and delivering engaging training and fostering a strong learning culture across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging training sessions, including induction, mandatory and refresher courses.
- Support staff in developing their skills and progressing in their roles.
- Identify learning needs and contribute to individual development plans.
- Coordinate training programmes and liaise with external providers.
- Facilitate access to recognised qualifications.
- Monitor training compliance and maintain accurate records.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in care quality through learning initiatives.
Required profile
- Experience in learning & development, training or a care environment.
- Understanding of training requirements in a regulated care setting, or willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative and approachable style with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people supported.
