Learning Support Assistant – Support KS3/KS4 Students

About the role

Protocol Education is partnering with inclusive secondary schools in Colchester to recruit compassionate Learning Support Assistants. You will work alongside teachers to provide tailored assistance to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils, including those with additional learning needs such as SEN.

Key responsibilities

• Support students in classroom activities, ensuring engagement and understanding.
• Collaborate with teachers to adapt learning materials for individual needs.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to staff.
• Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school experience preferred).
• Calm, patient and nurturing approach.
• Confidence supporting students with additional needs, including SEN.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
