Lift Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Lift Engineer to join our team on a permanent night‑shift basis. You will be responsible for responding to call‑outs, carrying out repairs and performing planned maintenance on a variety of passenger and goods lifts within your designated area.

Key responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns, repairs and routine maintenance visits on vertical lifts.
• Work safely at all times, adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Deliver a consistently high standard of service and customer care.
• Use digital systems to log work and improve first‑time fix rates.
• Support and mentor apprentices when required.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours call‑out rota.

Required profile

• Experience working on passenger and goods lifts.
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
• NVQ Level 3 (or progressing with good progress).
• Excellent communication and a customer‑focused approach.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
