Loan Closer – Syndicated Loans (6‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Loan Closer to support a leading Japanese financial institution’s Distribution Control function in London. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and the remainder remote, and runs for an initial six‑month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft and process loan trading documentation for syndicated loan transactions.
• Prepare and negotiate trade confirmations, transfer certificates, assignment and participation agreements, and pricing letters.
• Manage execution and settlement of secondary loan trades from trade date through completion.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, counterparties, facility agents and legal teams to ensure timely documentation.
• Verify credit agreements and transfer provisions against market standards and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate records in Loan IQ and ensure correct settlement processing.
• Identify and resolve documentation, settlement and operational issues throughout the transaction lifecycle.
• Monitor compliance with regulatory, risk and control requirements and escalate complex issues as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in loan closing or loan operations, preferably with syndicated loans.
• Ability to work hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and flexible hours during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
