Materials and Production Planner

About the role

Our client, a specialist in the process sector, is expanding and needs a Materials and Production Planner to ensure smooth production flow and on‑time delivery of goods. You will coordinate material supply, production scheduling and quality standards to keep the factory operating efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve planning processes, creating production plans that prioritize demand.
• Schedule goods and materials, maintaining steady supply to meet production needs.
• Monitor stock levels, generate daily stock figures and ensure agreed inventory targets are met.
• Communicate any issues affecting the production schedule and work with purchasing to secure required materials.
• Determine manpower, equipment and raw‑material requirements for each production run.
• Collect output data (finished products, defect rates) and prepare performance reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and close operational gaps.
• Manage movement of finished product to the warehouse in line with customer orders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment with end‑to‑end process knowledge.
• Strong organisational abilities, results‑driven mindset and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and GMP quality system requirements.
• Ability to work accurately, methodically and take initiative on improvements.

Required skills

• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
• MS Office suite (especially Excel).
• ERP systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards.
• Understanding of GMP requirements.
