Maths Teacher – Long-Term SEN Role in Aylesbury

About the role
Academics is partnering with a leading specialist SEN school in Aylesbury to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher for a long‑term assignment. The role offers the chance to make a real difference to young learners and may lead to a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Manage small class sizes with strong classroom support.
- Collaborate with leadership and support staff to adapt curriculum for SEN students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and interventions.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or proven experience as an unqualified teacher with a strong SEN background.
- Experience teaching Mathematics, preferably in a specialist setting.
- Demonstrated ability to support learners with Autism, SEMH, MLD or other additional needs.
- Confident in behaviour management and lesson adaptation.
Required skills
- Mathematics curriculum delivery.
- Understanding of SEN strategies and differentiation.
