Mechanical Reliability Engineer

About the role
As a Mechanical Reliability Engineer you will be a key member of the maintenance department, ensuring the application of best‑practice maintenance procedures and methods. You will investigate incidents, analyse trends with statistical tools, coordinate mechanical inspections and develop maintenance concepts across the plant.
Key responsibilities
- Design and participate in critical equipment inspections.
- Analyse equipment damage and evaluate repair alternatives.
- Apply risk‑based decision making.
- Maintain safe working conditions and safety standards.
- Conduct analysis of critical plant assets and ensure appropriate inspection procedures.
- Improve and update the preventive maintenance program, including inspection and lubrication plans.
- Coordinate with other departments to drive inspection, condition monitoring and improvement projects.
- Lead implementation of Root Cause Analysis techniques.
- Assist in budget preparation and CAPEX tasks, aligning financial, health, safety and environmental requirements with reliability data.
- Support major shutdown planning to ensure timely maintenance execution.
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to prepare tools, materials and equipment lists for preventive maintenance.
- Train subordinates based on gap analysis.
- Monitor mechanical installation, repair and maintenance work to ensure compliance with company procedures.
- Prepare and submit required reports to the Maintenance Manager.
Required profile
- Minimum five years of experience in maintenance and reliability within a manufacturing environment.
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance, Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
- Root Cause Analysis and fault‑finding experience.
- Willingness to embrace change for continuous improvement.
