Member of Engineering – Post‑training (Applied Research)

About the role

You will join the Applied Research team to turn pre‑trained large language models into well‑aligned, high‑performing AI systems for coding and software development. The role is hands‑on, covering data pipelines, post‑training algorithms, experiment design and large‑scale GPU compute.

Key responsibilities

• Research and experiment on ways to specialize foundational models for agentic use cases.
• Build and maintain data and training pipelines.
• Stay up‑to‑date with state‑of‑the‑art LLM research, alignment, synthetic data generation and code generation.
• Design, analyze and iterate on training, fine‑tuning and data‑generation experiments.
• Write high‑quality, pragmatic code.
• Collaborate with teammates to plan next steps and communicate progress.

Required profile

• Experience with large language models and post‑training techniques.
• Deep knowledge of Transformers and strong deep‑learning fundamentals.
• Proven ability to build scalable data pipelines and work with distributed training.
• Research background with a track record of proposing and evaluating novel ideas.
• Comfortable in a fast‑moving, iterative environment.
