Mobile Fabric Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mobile Fabric Engineer to join our mobile team covering Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will provide on‑site fabric repair and preventative maintenance services to our clients, travelling in a company vehicle and working closely with the contract management team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality fabric repairs and planned preventative maintenance across client sites.
• Work safely and comply with health‑and‑safety standards and company procedures.
• Collaborate with the Contract Manager, Contract Administrator, Supervisor, Helpdesk and local engineers.
• Produce clear quotations for repair work when required.
• Manage your workload to meet SLA commitments and participate in the on‑call rota.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Fabric Engineer, preferably in the commercial facility services sector.
• Comfortable performing manual tasks, including work at height and in confined spaces.
• Full UK driving licence – travel is a core part of the role.
• Self‑motivated, solution‑focused and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a positive attitude.
