Multi Trade Operative – Up to £27/hr (West Midlands)

About the role

We are recruiting experienced Multi Trade Operatives for a large, reputable housing association in the West Midlands. You will work on occupied social housing properties, delivering a range of maintenance and repair tasks while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance and repair work in occupied homes across multiple sites.
• Ensure all work meets the housing provider’s quality and safety standards.
• Provide courteous service to tenants and respond to their queries promptly.
• Travel between sites using your own van and record mileage.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in social housing, particularly in occupied properties.
• Skilled in at least one core trade – carpentry, plumbing or plastering.
• Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds.
• Ability to perform multi‑trade tasks effectively.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Own van (essential for travel between properties).

What we offer

• Competitive hourly rate up to £27 per hour, dependent on experience.
• Mileage reimbursement at 45p per mile.
