Neighbourhood Manager – Housing Services

About the role

We are looking for a Neighbourhood Manager to lead our Neighbourhood and Estates Team, delivering high‑quality housing and tenancy services for around 8,000 homes in the east of England. You will shape a customer‑centric service that improves the everyday lives of residents and supports community wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Neighbourhood Services team, overseeing tenancy, estate management, grounds maintenance, health & safety and related services.
• Create a motivating environment with clear direction, ensuring consistent, high‑quality, customer‑focused delivery in line with regulatory standards.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring performance data, setting targets and reviewing team and individual results.
• Incorporate customer feedback to evolve services and provide training and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Tenancy Enforcement Manager to handle Anti‑Social Behaviour, tenancy breaches and enforcement actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing neighbourhoods and estates within the social housing sector.
• Strong knowledge of current policies, procedures and regulations relevant to housing services.
• Experience of contract management and understanding of how service quality influences tenant perception.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of partnership working across an organisation.
• Good knowledge of Social Housing and Tenancy Law, including enforcement and case management.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
