Nursery Assistant – Flexible Ad‑hoc Hours in Islington

About the role

We are looking for qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Assistants to work on an ad‑hoc, flexible basis in a welcoming nursery in Islington. This role offers the freedom to choose your own shifts while supporting children during their most important developmental stages.

Key responsibilities

• Support the learning, development and wellbeing of children aged 0‑4 years.
• Create a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where children can thrive.
• Assist with play‑based learning and age‑appropriate activities.
• Support daily routines including mealtimes, personal care and outdoor play.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Follow safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.

Required profile

• A CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential).
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
• A warm, caring and energetic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s early learning and development.
